I'll be Home For Christmas

Well, i'm almost finished packing. Got 1 day left before my bags are packed and i'm ready to go :).. I've received about 5 text messages from my parents in the past 20 minutes (3 from Papa, 2 from Mama) reminding me to bring warm clothes, not to forget the 'pabilins' and saying how excited they are to see their bunso again. According to Ma, the temperature in Doha is a pleasant 18 degrees Celsius in the morning and afternoon, 16 at night to early mornings. Nice.. my type of weather. Too bad there's no snow, w/c would be great. No White Christmas for me..

10 minutes later: My sister just brought in her kris kringle presents from her Commerce Journal Xmas Party (w/c was hosted at home, probably coz we had the most space): She had sent us out to buy her gifts earlier so i had a remote idea of what she got: 1. a book, 2. something alive/that moves 3. something with a hole. The other 2 gifts are still wrapped but now there are 2 hamsters in my room as i type. My spontaneous names for them would be Greedy and Sporty.

Hmmm. Not really looking forward to flying by myself. I've done it once before, and it's kinda lonely. No wonder Airports are the one of the saddest places for someone to be in; you always see people saying goodbye, hugging each other, or a sad lonely man sitting by himself. I just hope i get a good seat and not end up sitting beside someone i'd have to bear for the next 9 hours..

Spare the Rod, Spoil the Dog

My 4month old golden retriever Xena had her first dog training session today. A friend referred me to a dog trainer who goes by the name Kurt (DOuGlas? hehe..) who could train Xena in a month. Cute as she is, she's really hyper and chipper and almost to the point of being the Goddess of Death and Destruction when left by herself..so me and my siblings had to take the "This is going to hurt me more than it's going to hurt you" stance--Kurt the trainer instructed me on how to reinforce her 'Sit' and 'Heel' commands using what is called a 'prong collar' (Never heard this term before) which is used and is apparently very effective in training. Although he reassured me that the collar doesn't hurt her, i still felt this twang of guilt everytime i tugged at the leash. After a rigorous 1 hour session Xena was exhausted but doggone happy--she even got to meet a couple of pet pals Caster (a german shep) and Robin. (a burly 2yr.old golden retriever) For an almost 5 month old pup she seemed quite the flirt after she got over the initial shock of being sniffed at..Hmm..

The Outlet

Had to make myself a new blog account- i couldn't remember my password to my old one, arrrghhh... just when i wanted to rant a little bit, my blog failed me. By the time i made this new one, i had forgotten what i wanted to let out. Oh well, another time i suppose. Gotta get something to tame my little hunger demons..munchmunch

Doggone Tired

I feel great and tired at the same time. Why? Coz i played my first real basktetball game in 4 years during my P.E.4 class yesterday. Ok, so it wasn't as exciting as professional gaming-my classmates did their girly shrieks and were commiting every foul in the gamebook. Nevertheless it was still fun. Last week was worse- all my shots were practically airballs and all i felt was frustration and a bad feeling that i'd lost my bball skills. 15min to dismissal i had to haul my butt away from the court, mop off as much sweat as i could (thank god i had a face towel) and apparate to my next class, dental history. Can't wait for the next work-out. :)
